Guest of  THE SECRETS OF PERFECTION Ukrainian artist Konstantin Skoptsov finds expression in different realms of his native country, his interests are wide and profound: the artist works in sphere of painting, graphics, photography and design; organizes personal exhibitions; he studies religion, masonic symbolism, philosophy and art of the ancient civilizations of Southern America, the Vietnamese battle arts; undertakes a number of trips in Siberia, Altai, on Ural to study orthodox iconography and untraditional, primitive religious art; creates series of illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy, for writings of Arthur Rembo, Anatol France, Anri de Renie; prepares for the edition the monograph about synthesis of Zen-Buddhistic and Sophistic esoteric philosophy; he also is the editor of the Ukrainian sports magazine.

Paying a tribute to masonic lodge he develops symbolism of freemasonry, creates art works dedicated to masonic movement. He is sure that symbols are able to generate the forces of this world, that they can influence health, family, friends and business. The tools held by Masters are the symbols of mental and ethical criteria though according to masonic adepts these symbols has no only one single and unequivocal meaning, but at least three ones. Partly the symbols and emblems are the work of one individual's imagination. Artist Konstantin Skoptsov forms symbols concretely for Ukrainian masonic lodge.

The artist mason belongs to Ukrainian school. Its distinctive features: realist impressionistic basis, concentrating on feeling more than on structure, dynamics of depicted forms, linear perception of reality. Technique of our guest is created on the ground of Ukrainian art school and on the old European art traditions. The Skoptsov's artwork demonstrates profundity of symbolic interpretation and high level of professionalism and skills. His aspiration to perfection is in harmony with noble purposes of masons. However, if traditional freemasonry is known as movement having no perfect relations with Christianity, Skoptsov co-ordinates masonic thinking with ideas of Christianity and other religions well (series of Angels). According to poetic Konstantin's belief, angels bring piece to our souls and light to our spirits, health to our bodies and blessing to our homes... The peace and welfare come in that place, over which angel spreads his wings.

In Soviet time some Konstantin Skoptsov's shows were forbidden. Nothing astonishing, because in 1980s and 1990s commissions of the Soviet Artists Union liked better professional outsider art, that at that time has dominating role in western arts.
